Spain’s Isofotón has opened its new 50MW manufacturing facility in Napoleon, Ohio. Production is slated to begin in November, with the company noting that the facility has been designed to be able to expand to up to 300MW in capacity. The company received US$15 million in financing for the Ohio plant.

Isofotón’s Ohio facility will start with 120 employees, and hopes to employee as many as 330 people once the site reaches full capacity. During its announcement at SPI, Isofotón noted that it plans to focus its hiring on Ohio’s returning military veterans. The company can be found at booth #2930.

According to Ángel Luis Serrano, Isofoton’s chief executive, “We have developed a sound plan for growth in the US, a country that will lead the photovoltaic industry over the next ten years.
