Solar Works, part of McCune Works, advised that it is in the final phase of negotiations for the assumption of operations of Schott Solar’s Albuquerque, New Mexico solar facility. Solar Works expects for production to resume early next year under the new “Hott Solar PV” logo. Full production is anticipated for Q4 2013, which means that nearly 130 employees will be working at the site with an annual payroll of over US$6.5 million.

Chuck McCune, CEO of McCune Solar Works, commented, “We are keenly aware of the climate change issues we are all experiencing now across the entire country and intend to aggressively attempt to contribute to a solution through our operation of the McCune Solar Works Facility.  We look forward to providing affordable and non polluting renewable energy throughout New Mexico. Furthermore, we intend to provide 100MW of installations in 2013 through our Power New Mexico Program.  Solar is now affordable and not something in the future.  It is now.”
